Litecoin surpasses Ethereum in number of active addresses

Litecoin (LTC) surpasses Ethereum (ETH) in user activity for the third time in 2021.

Onchain activity measurement platform Santiment reported that Litecoin has overtaken the second-largest blockchain platform Ethereum in terms of the number of active addresses. 

By As of October 13, 600 thousand users use LTC daily. And this is against the background of low activity of Litecoin in DeFi or NFT projects, unlike Ethereum

The growth of key metrics did not particularly affect the price of the altcoin. After the recent fall, the coin is looking for strong support. 

Last month, LTC hit its yearly high of $423, fueled by rumors of retail giant Walmart's plans to accept LTC. However, the rumors were not confirmed and the price rolled back to previous levels in less than 24 hours.
