The giant SHIB video was placed in the most visited place in Manhattan, Times Square in New York.
The following post appeared on the SHIB Twitter account:
Although SHIB has demonstrated a rapid rise and has earned recognition from many crypto platforms; purchasing a token in New York is difficult due to local restrictions. The crypto community has already published a petition on Change.org in support of the meme's trading on Coinbase.
SHIB is not the only meme to buy a space in Times Square. At the height of their popularity, Dogecoin and Safemoon were also advertised on the business capital's iconic pedestrian zone. The cost of such an advertising show on a busy tourist route can cost up to $50,000 per day.
