200 Bitcoin ATMs to be installed in El Salvador

The law legalizing Bitcoin in El Salvador comes into force on September 7.

According to President Bukele, the government has already practically prepared the infrastructure for the use of Bitcoin by citizens.

According to him, more than 500 Bitcoin ATMs will operate in the country, with which it will be possible to convert BTC into cash without commission. In addition, El Salvador will release a government wallet called Chivo.

The president also wrote that there will be no pressure on people who want to stay in fiat:

What if you don't want to use Bitcoin? Don't download Chivo and continue living your normal life. No one will take your dollars. You can always go to Western Union to stand in line and pay a commission.
