An unknown Internet resident sent 26 BTC to scammers posing as Michael Saylor, the boss of Microstrategy.
According to Whale Alert, the bitcoins were sent to the address of a scammer who, on behalf of Michael Saylor, promised to double all bitcoins sent to his address.
Saylor himself too commented on the situation. According to him, the company monitors and deletes such videos. However, just last week, 489 such fake videos were posted on YouTube.
Such a scam is as old as time. It's actually surprising that anyone still falls for this scam.
Always think thrice and check all the information before sending money to anyone online. And if an offer sounds too good to be true, then in 99.99% of cases it is a scam.
