Sony is ready to patent a blockchain-based educational platform

The Japanese company Sony has filed a patent application to create a blockchain-based educational platform for storing and sharing student performance data.

The application states that “nodes” can be teachers, students and third parties who need access to this data. Their task will be to validate the “educational experience.”

In this context, blockchain is used to store educational experience, certificates and other user data. Data about the subjects that students study and their certificates/diplomas will be entered into the distributed registry. Based on smart contract technology, knowledge will be exchanged as property.

In addition, the authors propose using distributed registry technology to create an “Internet of Vehicles”, which will allow vehicles, as nodes, to exchange information about the situation on the roads in real time.
