According to a recent survey, most Americans are aware of Bitcoin, but American youth are more likely to invest in it.
In September, LendENU asked thousands of Americans if they knew anything about Bitcoin. The lion's share of respondents answered that they know about Bitcoin (78.60%). However, 21.40% said they had not heard of it.

Unsurprisingly, younger Americans were more likely to have heard of this digital currency than older respondents. 88.67% of respondents aged 18 to 24 have heard of Bitcoin. Of those 55 and older, only 75.93% had heard of it.

Very few of those surveyed own Bitcoin or have had it in the past (13%). Those who do not have Bitcoin were asked whether they would invest in cryptocurrency in the future. A significant number - 54.58% - still indicated that they would not.
The overall picture of the LendENU survey shows that the younger an American is, the more likely they are to own or use Bitcoin for transactions.

The report adds: "Many older Americans have already formed the view that Bitcoin is unimportant. Over the years, as young people grow up and have more influence, Bitcoin will become more prevalent in the American economy. As the value of Bitcoin rises, recently reaching a record high of $7,400, more consumers will become aware of it and become interested in it." this industry continues to grow.
