The successor to the Telegram Open Network, the Free TON network, launched just over a year ago, received a new name - Everscale.
The native token TON Crystal will also change its name and will be traded under the ticker EVER.
The new name of the project was discussed for several months, paying attention to the uniqueness and originality of the name. As a result, voting more than 50% chose Everscale out of eight offered names of the network.
The whole idea of rebranding was caused by the need to get rid of the association with the TON brand to ensure the future of the project. The project plans to promote in the USA, work with partners and seek support on the largest crypto platforms for its native coin without association with Pavel Durov’s project.
