Two unnamed insiders familiar with Huawei Technologies' plans reported this to Bloomberg. Huawei is currently in the process of obtaining the rights to SIRIN OS from Sirin Labs, which will power the next-generation smartphone.
Representatives of Huawei and Sirin Labs have been negotiating for two months, but refuse to comment on any information.
The only entry that talks about cooperation between the two companies appeared at the end of February on the Sirin Labs Telegram:
“A wonderful meeting between representatives of Sirin Labs and Huawei has just ended. Among other things, the possibility of cooperation aimed at mass distribution of blockchain technology was discussed.”
In addition, it is known that Sirin Labs is also developing its own blockchain smartphone, Finney, which it plans to release for sale at the end of the summer of this year.
The head of the company’s press center, Nimrod Mai, told the media that Sirin Labs has already received a pre-order for the production of 25,000 phones. Not bad, considering the fact that the cost of one such device is $1000.
Sirin Labs does not stop there and plans to include a digital cold storage wallet and a system for converting fiat into digital currencies into its own blockchain smartphone, which will allow users to store crypto assets offline.
