Based on CryptoNote technology, focused on increasing the anonymity of transactions, a new digital protocol, Tari, will soon appear.
Lead Monero developer Ricardo Spagni will sell his watches to launch the new Tari protocol. This is how he commented on questions about financing and the refusal of the new project from the ICO. In fact, there is no need for crowdfunding due to the funds received from a number of venture capital companies.
To date, the project roadmap has not yet been developed and the work schedule has not been built. The release date for Tari has not yet been confirmed, but the developers are enthusiastic that the new protocol, based on the Monero network, will open up new opportunities for tokens with “unique characteristics.” Tari will create a secondary market for unique tokens that are not traded on crypto exchanges, which essentially means resale. The development team is confident that Tari can be used to secure ownership of items in video games and even personal assets, as well as a marketplace for resale of goods. These coins can record the rights to loyalty points in stores, concert tickets, all kinds of virtual goods and much more. The new Tari tokens will become analogues of ERC-721 tokens in the ethereum network, a striking example of the use of which, today, is the popular game CryptoKitties. However, the developers emphasize that they are not competing with Ethereum and believe that their specialized solutions for using the network can be more effective than standard universal protocols.
Thanks to the flexibility of the sidechain, Tari will allow users to combine their token with XMR.
The new layer two protocol, according to the developers, will support all types of crypto assets and handle thousands of money transfers per second. It is expected that users will be rewarded for forming Tari blocks, just like in the Monero network. Likewise, the security system will be similar to Monero.
This network has recently demonstrated a stable emergence of fork clones and four “Monero projects”.
