Technical problems on the Kraken exchange

The Kraken cryptocurrency exchanger has not been working for 48 hours after the developers announced a system update. According to information from the company's engineers, the technical work was expected to take approximately two hours.

Users of the system are already writing angry comments on the Internet, asking questions that are inconvenient for Kraken about the inoperability of the exchanger.

Almost all well-known crypto exchangers faced serious problems last year, when the popularity of cryptocurrencies grew sharply and a huge number of people began to use their services. The Coinbase and Bitsamp sites have long experienced delays due to user traffic overload, and the Bitfinex site has been subject to long-term DDOS attacks.

The Kraken exchange probably still has the most problems and problems. Users of the site are experiencing connection difficulties, with many complaining that their orders are being placed multiple times (after the site displays an error that the order cannot be placed and users try again), in some cases, losses from such problems have cost Kraken customers thousands of dollars.

It's not so easy for users in America to find an exchange where they can exchange altcoins for fiat, which is why many were delighted with the news of the portal update when Kraken employees posted the following statement on the site's home page: "Kraken.com performance is extremely unstable at this stage. Customers may often experience difficulties connecting, requests to place orders will often fail. For now, the only solution is to wait a couple of minutes and try again. We will be releasing a major system update next week, which should fix these issues and improve the performance of the site.”

The update, scheduled for mid-December, was postponed twice before the developers began updating the system on January 11. A message appeared on the Kraken website: “The system is currently being updated. Kraken services will be unavailable for about 2 hours, possibly a little longer.”

Over the next two days, the team published posts in which they apologized for the delays, and later, on January 13, published an entry that the system update was in the “final stages.”..

The most amazing thing is that at about the thirty-sixth hour from the start of work, Kraken management sent its engineers home so that they could take a little nap! A note appeared on the Internet page: "We are already close to the full-scale launch of the site, however, we will take a short break to rest and better control the situation during the system launch process. Unfortunately, this means that we will delay the start for a few more hours."
