The largest database of stolen passwords in history is being sold online.

The largest collection of passwords in the history of the Internet has appeared on a hacker forum. A hacker has published a huge text file containing more than 8 billion passwords, which were allegedly collected in many different hacks.

Today there are approximately 4.7 billion users online, and numerically, the RockYou2021 compilation could potentially include the passwords of the entire global online population. For this reason, users are advised to take precautions immediately.

To protect your data, experts recommend:

▪ Use a personal data leak checker and leak checker password.

▪ If your data has been compromised, change the passwords of all online accounts. You can use an online generator to create complex passwords.

 ▪ Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) for all your online accounts.

 ▪ Monitor incoming spam, unwanted texts, and phishing messages. Do not click on any links, especially in emails from senders you do not know.
