Yahoo co-founder believes Bitcoin has a bright future

Speaking on the sidelines of the Fortune Global Forum in China, Yahoo co-founder Jerry Yang said: "Bitcoin as a digital currency has not yet reached its full potential. People don't use it to transact, they use it as an investment asset. Personally, I believe that Bitcoin will play a role in the future of our society, it will become a new medium of exchange. For now, people are investing in it purely for income, rather than using it as a currency."

Young's remarks about Bitcoin are very similar to Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, who believes Bitcoin is more "authentic and real than the fake US dollar." At a recent conference in Las Vegas, the Apple co-founder said: "Bitcoin is even much better than gold. Gold has been mined for many, many centuries. There may be a limited amount of gold on the planet, but Bitcoin is even more reliable because it is based on mathematics. No one can change the mathematics."

Despite such loud statements from supporters of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, not all technologists have the same opinions about Bitcoin. Some, including JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon, call Bitcoin a “scam.” In a recent interview with CNBS, he said: "It's possible that a person could find some use for Bitcoin, for example, if that person is a drug dealer or a murderer. Then yes, in Venezuela, North Korea or Ecuador, it is much easier to do this kind of business in Bitcoin than in US dollars. "

According to CNN, in late 2015, Dimon called Bitcoin a “waste of time.” At that time, Bitcoin was selling for $400.

Bitcoin price will recover even if it falls to $3,200

According to new research, the price of Bitcoin could drop to $3,200, but even if this happens, this figure is within the upward trend. On June 13, Fundstrat Global Advisors published a report that, based on transaction analysis, said that due to insufficient support, the price of BTC to the dollar could fall to the February low ($6,900) before rebounding, and then could fall to $5,500 or even $5,000.
