According to Zakon.kz, the Yandex search engine conducted a study of search queries related to digital currencies among residents of Kazakhstan for 2016-2018.
If in 2016 only those Kazakhstanis who understood modern technologies knew what Bitcoin, cryptocurrency and blockchain were, then a year later interest increased significantly and ordinary Internet users began to study cryptocurrency and made inquiries about what blockchain, mining, ICO are.
The first surge in activity of users who were interested in digital currencies was recorded in early summer, and the second - in early autumn last year year.
It is worth noting the fact that the number of people interested in what Bitcoin is reached its maximum at the end of 2017, when its price rose to $20,000. Kazakhs are also interested in how to work with Bitcoin for schoolchildren, where to get money for a mining farm and the prices of video cards for mining.
An important question that residents of Kazakhstan are increasingly asking is hidden mining. The country's crypto community is concerned about this issue. Requests related to the topic of mining increased 10 times, Bitcoin - 7 times, ICO - 4 times.
If we talk about requests for certain words, then most often, of course, you can find the words “cryptocurrency”, “cryptocurrency rate”, “cryptocurrency mining”. Judging by these specific requests, which in 2018 were 15 times more than in the same period in 2017, interest in digital currencies in Kazakhstan is growing by leaps and bounds, which is good news.
