The largest cinema chain AMC Theaters has added support for cryptocurrencies

The company began accepting cryptocurrency. According to the official statement, they already account for 14% of all online transactions.

Users can pay for purchases in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin.

AMC previously said it would move to processing payments in Dogecoin by the end of the year and was also exploring the possibility of accepting SHIB. The company conducted polls about this on Twitter. 68% of subscribers voted for Dogecoin, 81% for Shiba Inu.

According to CEO Adam Aron, the company is also discussing with Hollywood studios the possibility of creating commemorative non-fungible tokens associated with major films. In addition, AMC is considering creating its own token.

At the beginning of the year, the national cinema chain AMC Theaters was on the verge of bankruptcy after a long lockdown. However, the company quickly recovered thanks to its strategies that involve cryptocurrencies.

A similar crypto strategy was successfully implemented by the famous Regal Cinemas chain, through the Flexa payment application.
