Crypto exchange Bitfinex conducted a transaction with a record high commission on the Ethereum blockchain.
On Monday, a transaction for $100,000 in Tether (USDT) with a commission of $23.5 million (7,676.61 ETH) took place from the Bitfinex wallet to the address of the subsidiary DEX DeversiFira
The DeversiFi team confirmed “an erroneously high commission and began an internal investigation.” Shortly after the incident, the miner returned to the exchange the commission paid by mistake in the amount of $23.5 million.
