Hackers hacked the Indian Prime Minister's Twitter and "legalized" Bitcoin in the country

From the hacked account of the Prime Minister of India, they announced the legalization of Bitcoin in the country and the government’s acquisition of 500 BTC for distribution to citizens.

An early Sunday morning tweet from Narendra Modi announced India's adoption of the first cryptocurrency as legal tender.

K In the message, the hackers attached a link to a fake website where citizens could “get their BTC.” The fake tweet was quickly deleted, but was retweeted by several hundred people.

The Prime Minister has previously openly highlighted the risks associated with cryptocurrency, including in international and domestic meetings with government officials.
