Bitcoin miners earned $1.72 billion in October

According to monthly data from The Block, Bitcoin miners earned $1.72 billion in October, the second-highest total.

October figures exceed April's - $1.7 billion - and fall slightly short of March's record high of $1.75 billion.



Most of the profit was received for finding a new block - 6.26 BTC or $386.3 thousand. Transaction fees amounted to 10% of total monthly revenue.


The upward trend in miners' income, observed since the end of summer, continues. After halving, the total income of miners of the first cryptocurrency increased by 275%. At the beginning of last month, their daily profit reached $40 million, and the amount of commissions amounted to a three-month maximum of commission income.
