The President of El Salvador announced that the state has begun implementing a previously planned project for the extraction of cryptocurrency using geothermal energy.
In June of this year, Nayib Bukele reported that the government had commissioned LaGeo to develop mining farm project that would use cheap and clean energy from El Salvador's volcanoes.
Now that construction has begun, the president stated:
We want to promote the idea of industrial parks where anyone can set up their production and receive cheap, clean, renewable energy.
