President Bukele tweeted that El Salvador bought another 150 bitcoins as the price fell.
El Salvador now holds 700 bitcoins in its accounts, which at current prices is about $32 million.
On September 7, El Salvador was the first in the world to legalize Bitcoin as legal tender. To support this initiative, the state deployed a network of crypto ATMs and introduced the Chivo application, with the help of which residents of the country can conduct transactions in Bitcoin.
