NewsBTC, which provides daily cryptocurrency news for traders, has appointed Samuel Ray as its new CEO, replacing previous CEO Jonathan Millett.
Samuel Ray began his career as a stock market trader. He has also worked as a writer and analyst for several stock market news publications such as Investing.com, FXpips, Forexminute and DailyFX. The new director is the author of the acclaimed book “The Diary of a Currency Trader.”
In 2013, Samuel switched from the stock market to the cryptocurrency market and joined the NewsBTC company. Prior to his appointment, Samuel was the company's vice president of business development.
“I am very pleased with the promotion. We have an incredibly strong team of writers and editors - they are super talented analysts, developers, crypto enthusiasts who know the space inside out. So we are committed to making the most of this team,” says Samuel.
Based on his experience, Mr. Ray says that the cryptocurrency market is significantly different from the stock market. “There is much less institutional participation in the cryptocurrency environment now, so many of the traditional methods of technical analysis that work in the stock market are ineffective because there is not enough volume for price movements to make trends and key levels self-sustaining.”
