Meta (formerly Facebook) is poaching talent with the specialized skills needed to create metaverses from Microsoft and Apple.
Meta continues to expand and needs more Web3 experts. The lure of being part of a new trend that promises lucrative work conditions is causing developers to leave the world's largest technology companies such as Apple, Amazon and Google.
More than 100 Microsoft employees have left the company and are now creating a metaverse for Meta, according to a report in The Wall Street Journal, citing "people familiar with the matter." Augmented reality specialists are of greatest interest to the social network. Meta offers high income and benefits to in-demand professionals.
According to Web3.career, there are currently more than 8,800 vacancies advertised across 1,000 Web3 projects worldwide. About 400 of these vacancies are advertised in London, and a further 300 in Berlin, with vacancies covering a wide range of sectors.
