Windows 11 will be released on October 5

Microsoft has confirmed that the Windows 11 operating system will be released on October 5.

Windows 11 will be free for Windows 10 users for a limited period of time. Microsoft plans to complete installation of the update by mid-2022.  

Microsoft plans to introduce support for Android applications in the coming months, in a preview version of Windows Insider. 

The new platform is based on an updated interface, with snapshot layouts, widgets and command integration. The Microsoft Store has also been updated. Technologies such as DirectX 12, DirectStorage and Auto HDR will be of interest to gamers.
