Bitcoin Cash developers have created a new wallet, Badgerwallet.cash.

A new BCH wallet, similar to the Metamask ETH client, was announced by the Bitcoin Cash (BCH) team. The beta version of the wallet, called Badgerwallet.cash, works as an extension in Google Chrome and is ready for testing. The developers invite everyone to join.

The BCH-based Badgerwallet.cash client was created by the developers of the Simple Ledger Protocol (SLP), Spendbch, Bitbox and Bitcoin.com. Badgerwallet is positioned as the gateway to the world of BCH tokens and decentralized applications. The developers have now launched a beta version of the client as a Chrome extension, and the wallet is available for testing.

To test the Badgerwallet software, users need to download the extension package from http://badgerwallet.cash, then open the Chrome browser and extract the extension. Due to the fact that Badgerwallet is currently only available in test mode, the Chrome extension page must be set to "developer mode". From there, Chrome will allow you to unpack and install Badgerwallet in your browser, which has a fairly clean interface and acts like other similar extensions like Kryptokit and Metamask.

At this stage, the wallet does not yet support tokens, and the app will inform the user that this feature is in development. There are plans to add support for SLP and Wormhole tokens. For now, Badgerwallet testers can create a new account with a mnemonic, add as many accounts as needed to the drop-down menu, and send and receive BCH. So far, Badgerwallet is not working entirely smoothly, and the team has to finalize the extension.

It is interesting that, having announced a new product for Bitcoin Cash, the developers remain stubbornly silent about the hard fork planned for November 15th. Throughout the first half of the year, the network was full of news about another skirmish between Amaury Sechet and Wright Craig. The first insists on the implementation of a new preliminary consensus algorithm, while the second is categorically against it and plans to implement the Bitcoin SV protocol (the original Bitcoin protocol) during a hard fork, the developers are still silent about preparations for which.
