Ledger will support IOTA

According to a press release published on November 2, the German IOTA fund will integrate IOTA tokens with the Ledger cryptocurrency hardware wallet.

After integration with IOTA Trinity and Romeo wallets, the hardware wallet Ledger Nano S will provide its users with the ability to store tokens on a separate chip, isolated from a computer or smartphone. According to the information, the Ledger company has developed a chip similar to the chip in credit cards or passports.

In July, IOTA and Volkswagen demonstrated a PoC that uses the Tangle system to power autonomous cars. Tangle technology allows Volkswagen to send software updates needed over-the-air as part of the manufacturer's new Connected Car program.

IOTA Tangle is another type of DLT specifically designed for the Internet of Things (IoT). It is an open source protocol that facilitates communication between devices, including secure data transfer and fast micropayments.

According to Coinmarketcap, at the time of publication, the price of the IOTA token is $0.47, and its market capitalization is approximately $1.3 billion.
