The Handcash application will allow you to create your own payment system

The Handcash wallet team has announced plans to release an iOS version of the wallet this month. Along with the announcement, the developers announced the launch of a new PoS application called Pop.

At the beginning of the year, many news portals covered the launch of a beta client for the Handcash wallet on Android phones. Since then, the wallet has changed a lot - the user interface has been updated, and in May, Nchain announced the acquisition of a controlling stake in Handcash. Now there's a new announcement from the development team - an iOS version of the wallet and the launch of a new PoS app called Pop later this month

“Pop is a payment companion app to Handcash that allows you to create payment requests in a store or pub,” explains the team that worked on the app. “The app is quick to install, requires no subscription, and features fraud detection, all of which should encourage businesses to start accepting Bitcoin Cash as a means of payment.”

When used in conjunction with a wallet, Handcash Pop uses Near Field Communication (NFC) technology to process payments. The app is also compatible with most Bitcoin Cash wallets, but in this case the user must scan a QR code to create a payment request. In addition to this, Pop is equipped with real-time fraud protection and user funds are not stored directly on the device. All funds are automatically sent to your Handcash account.

News.Bitcoin.com staff conducted a short test of the Pop application. According to them, setting up a PoS terminal on a Samsung tablet was quite easy and intuitive for them. The app is also protected by a 4-digit PIN, which is required to access the payment requests page. The setup process took no more than five minutes, so anyone can easily install the application and within two to three minutes create their own payment system that accepts Bitcoin Cash.
