Metamask plans to issue its own token

The popular MetaMask wallet is ready to launch its token and conduct an airdrop.

During a Youtube live broadcast on August 26, Metamask senior software engineer Eric Marks said that the team is considering launching its own token.

Although Marks acknowledged that holding an ICO could increase the price of a coin, he is concerned about the possibility of a dump. Therefore, the team plans to distribute the cryptocurrency through an airdrop. The specific timing of the launch of the token is not yet known.

Metamask is a popular Ethereum wallet designed as a web browser plugin with which you can interact with decentralized applications. Metamask has about 5 million active users per month.
