Cryptocurrency is interesting for many reasons, some are attracted by opportunities, others by technology, young people are attracted by innovation. Romania does not lag behind other countries and Bitcoin and leading altcoins are also popular there. The rise in popularity of cryptocurrencies is partly due to the growing number of freelancers in the country.
A recent survey conducted by iSense Solutions showed that more than half of Romanians know what bitcoin is. This in itself is already amazing. In most other countries this percentage is much lower. Many people around the world still do not know what cryptocurrency is.
The survey also showed that almost half of the respondents would be comfortable paying with bitcoin and other altcoins, but for this they must be accepted in retail, and now not many owners of retail chains and online stores are ready for this. However, the situation could change at any moment.
Interestingly, almost every third consumer is convinced that cryptocurrency will become the new means of payment in Romania.
It remains to be determined how big a role cryptocurrency will play in the future of commerce and how popular it will be. Currently, Romania is certainly a region worthy of attention. In the future, it may become one of the largest cryptocurrency nodes.
