A plant producing mining devices will be built in Belarus

There is now a real mining boom on the territory of Belarus, which began after the signing of the decree “On the development of the digital economy” by the President of the Republic Alexander Lukashenko. Representatives of one of the Russian companies announced that they are planning to build an enterprise that will produce equipment for cryptocurrency mining.

The implementation of the project, the details of which have not yet been disclosed, will be carried out by Dmitry Marinchev, a Russian businessman and owner of Radius Group, and Yan Ivanov. They plan to build the enterprise in the Great Stone economic zone.

Dmitry Marichev presented this project as follows: “It will be a closed cycle. It will be both the production of printed circuit boards and the assembly of final devices. We are the only company that produces dual-use systems, when we utilize heat from processor power, we direct it to good purposes. For example, to heat houses, apartments, greenhouses, rose gardens.”

As Yan Ivanov told Belarus Today, there is a demand for everything that has connection with the cryptocurrency market has grown several times in this country over the past few months, and the market potential is about $2 billion.

In addition to the fact that mining has full support from the government (which, of course, looks attractive not only for Belarusian miners, but also for visitors), the country has fairly low electricity prices.

Moreover, the head of Belenergo promises favorable conditions to everyone who is involved in the extraction of digital currency and does not see a problem in the fact that the number of miners is increasing.

We would like to remind you that Belarus was actually the first state in the world to create special conditions for the use of blockchain technology. Programmers feel like a “privileged caste,” and Minsk Nuclear Power Plant plans to use its capacity for cryptocurrency mining.
