The first ever NFT was released on the Dogecoin blockchain

DOGE developer has released the first non-fungible token (NFT) on the Dogecoin blockchain.

The NFT issue cost only 0.01 DOGE - less than one cent. The low cost pleased the experimenter, especially in comparison with the release on the Ethereum blockchain.

The developer’s tweet attracted the attention of the Dogecoin community.

Dogecoin developer Michi Lumin said:

Dogecoin was created as a dog-themed “prank” coin. However, recent developments show that it can be used for more than just a meme coin.

On December 14, Elon Musk announced that the company would be experimenting with DOGE as payment for some of its products. Just a few minutes after the announcement, the meme coin returned to the top 10 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization.
