The State Duma of the Russian Federation stated that Bitcoin was created by Russian “tadpoles”

The State Duma believes that Russian programmers are behind the development of Bitcoin, and American intelligence services use it, but this is not a reason to abandon digital currencies. Industrial espionage can help Russia develop the IT industry.

Many countries would like to claim the title of birthplace of cryptocurrency, but Bitcoin was designed to be a stateless digital currency. However, Russia does not think so, claiming involvement in the emergence of the digital asset. According to representatives of the Russian Parliament, Bitcoin is the development of Russian programmers.

The Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Financial Markets Anatoly Aksakov was prompted to this idea by the still-secret personality Satoshi Nakamoto and the mass emigration of Russian IT specialists to the USA in search of a better life. According to Aksakov, it was talented Russian programmers who participated, together with American specialists, in the group that created the first cryptocurrency, and now the intelligence services are using the development to their advantage. However, this is not a reason to refuse to use digital assets in the country. A strict ban on digital currencies will lead to massive use of the dollar by Russians, Aksakov believes.

According to the deputy, the best solution would be to create conditions for the return of IT specialists to their homeland, who have already gained experience overseas and can apply the acquired knowledge to develop high-tech business in Russia. In addition, business trips of specialists to the United States to gain new knowledge and apply them in the domestic IT industry will be very useful for the country, according to the official.

In addition, Aksakov is confident that the “cryptocurrency” that may appear after the adoption of laws regulating the digital industry in Russia will be “the same ruble, only in encrypted form.” In November, a lawmaker told the press that the government was considering launching a state-backed cryptocurrency pegged to the Russian ruble.
